Suicide Risk Among US Healthcare Workers

Suicide Risks of Health Care Workers in the US

This study aimed to estimate the risk of suicide among different groups of healthcare workers in the US. They analyzed data from a large sample of healthcare professionals and found that registered nurses, health technicians, and health care support workers had a higher risk of suicide compared to non-healthcare workers. Physicians and some other healthcare professionals did not show a significantly increased risk. The study highlights the need for mental health support programs for healthcare workers, particularly those at higher risk.
