CPAP Adherence Reduces Cardiovascular Risks in Sleep Apnea Patients

Adherence to CPAP Treatment and the Risk of Recurrent Cardiovascular Events: A Meta-Analysis

A study examined the impact of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) on the risk of cardiovascular events. The research found that good adherence to CPAP significantly reduced the recurrence risk of major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs). However, the overall effect of CPAP on MACCEs was similar between CPAP and non-CPAP groups.
